da brwin: Leeds United got back to winning ways and avoided a fourth successive Championship defeat as they beat Middlesbrough and former boss Garry Monk 2-1 at Elland Road on Sunday, but Whites fans weren’t happy with Gaetano Berardi’s performance at left-back.
da betcris: The Yorkshire outfit had slipped down to 11th position in the table following seven losses in their last nine league games, but they got off to the perfect start against Boro when Pablo Hernandez gave them a first-half lead in the 24th minute.
However, Berardi was fortunate not to give away a penalty for a challenge on Britt Assombalonga, while he was also booked for a tackle on Connor Roberts in the first 45 minutes.
Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on the Italian’s showing via social media, and while one labelled him “a liability”, another was “frustrated at Berardi’s lack of fight”.
