da roleta: According to Mundo Deportivo, the agent of Barcelona attacker Arda Turan has offered Everton the chance to sign his client during the January transfer window.
What’s the story?
da bet7: Turan will almost certainly leave Barcelona this month after failing to play a single minute of first-team football for the Spanish club during the 2017-18 campaign.
The 30-year-old scored 13 times in 30 appearances for Barcelona last term, but is not in plans of Ernesto Valverde.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Turan’s agent Ahmed Bulut has contacted Everton to make the Premier League club aware of the Turkish international’s situation at Camp Nou.
However, the report claims that Everton would struggle to take on Turan’s wages due to the fact that the attacker currently collects in the region of £120,000 a week.
AC Milan are also believed to be interested in a player that is capable of operating in a number of different positions in the final third of the field.
What would Turan bring to Everton?
When considering that Turan managed 13 goals in all competitions last season, it is a surprise that he has not been used by Valverde this term.
The Turkish international starred for Atletico Madrid during his time at the club, and left the Madrid outfit having won La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
The trophies have continued to flow at Barcelona, and at the age of 30, Turan still has plenty to offer in the game.
Everton are lacking genuine quality in the final third of the field, and Turan’s arrival would certainly lift the supporters.
The Turk, who is valued at £10.8m by transfermarkt.co.uk, would also bring a winning mentality to Goodison Park, whilst his structured style of play would seemingly fit in well with a Sam Allardyce team.
Everton would surely face a battle to sign Turan if they decide to press ahead with a move, but the attacker has the potential to light up the Merseyside club.
