da realbet: When Moise Kean arrived from Serie A giants Juventus last summer, it was seen as a major coup by Everton.
da betsson: After all, the 20-year-old had shown flashes of potential in his time in Turin, even scoring a late winner against Milan last April to put the Bianconeri on the brink of yet another league title.
At the time of his signing, Marco Silva proudly remarked that Kean’s qualities would fit in perfectly at Everton. He said: “A striker was one of our priority signings this summer. “Moise is strong, fast, with many good qualities as a striker and he is just 19 years old. He has talent and he is ready to work, ready to improve our squad and gives us different solutions.”

But things simply haven’t worked out so far for the Italy international. Indeed, in the 14 games that he played across all competitions under Silva, he did not manage a single goal – his only contribution being an assist in a 3-2 win over Wolves very early on in the season.
And whilst he hasn’t been given too much of a look-in under Carlo Ancelotti – he has managed just 311 minutes of action – there is reason to hope that the current Toffees boss may finally be able to bring the best out the club’s mercurial talent.
It obviously goes without saying that the duo’s connection as Italians could help enormously in Kean’s adaptation to life on Merseyside. Ancelotti will no doubt feel much more understanding and protective of his fellow international compatriot, and being able to communicate far more clearly with him, will only help with how he settles on-and-off the pitch.
And perhaps just as importantly, Ancelotti’s reputation as more of a ‘man-manager’ than a mastermind tactician, could be the key to unlocking Kean’s potential. When you’re a young, up-and-coming star, just having the trust and confidence to play your own natural game and not get bogged down by details can be a huge weight off the shoulders.
By focusing more on the £28.8m-rated ace’s offensive qualities, and allowing him to express himself, Ancelotti can reinvigorate Kean. It is exactly why the Everton boss may be the vital key to unleashing the very best out of the former Juventus prodigy.
