There was no doubting the shock result of the Premier League weekend.
Anybody who had been checking the scores yesterday would no doubt have had to do a double take when noticing Tottenham 0 – 3 West Ham.
The result was all the more surprising considering the Hammers have struggled for goals so far this season, as well as the fact they have not won at White Hart Lane since 1999.
The result also saw West Ham record their first Premier League away win in nine, and many fans will argue it could not have come at a better time (or place).
For many Hammers fans, a win over Tottenham is as sweet as it gets, and credit must go to Sam Allardyce for his tactics yesterday.
Big Sam is perhaps a touch unfairly known for his direct style, but he got creative yesterday by playing a ‘false 9’ at White Hart Lane – and it worked an absolute treat, with Ravel Morrison the star of the show, scoring a spectacular solo goal.
On the other hand, the result proved an absolute nightmare for Tottenham, and a complete shock for a side that had started the season so well – and in truth it should never been allowed to happen, and this tweet sums up exactly why!
