da dobrowin: Manchester City’s summer spending seems set to continue on an exceptional scale with the addition of Leroy Sane for a potentially record-breaking fee.
da blaze casino: Pep Guardiola has shown a constant desire to pluck players from the Bundesliga, who he has presumably been casting his eye over for the past three seasons whilst being manager of Bayern Munich. Pep clearly rates Sane extremely highly – and he’s not alone in that – which is perhaps understandable considering his exemplary performances for Schalke last season.
Raheem Sterling might be questioning his future with Man City as Sane arrives, or he could see it as a beautiful opportunity to have the wide pressure placed elsewhere. The Citizens’ immensely talented squad clearly doesn’t quite have enough for Guardiola and the addition of Sane will surely not spell the end of a costly summer for the ManCity coffers.
Sane has a lot going for him, so we think he’ll be worth the extortionate amount of money. Here are FIVE reasons why…
All those wheels
Pace can save any player’s career.
Sane is one of the most fearsome ‘pacemen’ in European football at the moment and his dazzling feet and ability to attack spaces before anyone else can make up the yards stand him in good stead for a successful Premier League spell.
Plenty of time
At the age of 20, Sane has time on his side. Even if a season or two is disrupted by injury or poor form, the German can still revitalise his career within the next few years.
Development is the name of the main game for City with Sane over the next couple of seasons, but, crucially, he can remain at the club for the best part of a decade if he impresses as so many would expect he would.
Worth Sterling
Some of the pressure will naturally be taken off of Raheem Sterling with the arrival of another big money winger and that can only be a positive.
All that money for a player like Sane and he has already out-performed Sterling. Last season Sane was far more productive than the ex-Liverpool man, netting regularly in the Bundesliga.

No new kid on the block
Unlike some young players who move for substantial fees, Sane has already proven that he can compete at the highest level.
A member of Germany’s EURO 16 squad, the winger is far more than a teenage sensation as he was an integral player for a strong Bundesliga team last season in Schalke.
If City are looking to rejuvenate their attack, signing 20-year-old stars who have already got a fair bit of experience surely seems like a pretty good way to spend their budget.

What if…
The risk of Sane moving to a rival of Man City is real.
You obviously don’t want to be signing players just to take them away from your opponents, but it sure can help you out.
Envisage a scenario where Sane becomes the most feared winger in world football and Manchester City had passed up the opportunity to sign him – what a catastrophe that would be.
