da bet sport: In February, the BBC reported that EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey will be leaving his role with the football governing body at the end of this season. On March 5th, Sky Sports claimed that the 49-year-old is amongst those being considered to take up the position of chief executive of the FA, taking the place of Martin Glenn.
Harvey has been a divisive figure in his time at the helm of the EFL. He was at the forefront of a decision to agree a £595 million broadcast rights deal with Sky Sports that many Championship outfits felt undervalued them. On top of that, he was also behind the controversial revamp of the Checkatrade Trophy, allowing Premier League club youth sides to enter the tournament.

Prior to his time with the EFL, Harvey spent nine years at Elland Road as CEO of Leeds United. However, his relationship with the Yorkshire club was hugely soured this season due to the EFL’s handling of the ‘Spygate’ saga.
