That has led some fans to criticise his decision to stay when there was an offer on the table, accusing him of remaining at the club to pick up a healthy wage whilst doing little on the pitch in return.
One fan believes he is simply not good enough to be a regular at Goodison Park and it seems many would have been more than happy if he did make the switch to Turkey.
